Rental Late Fee Policy

Setcircle reserves the right to charge renters a late fee if items are not returned by the end of the final day of their booking.

Late fees are calculated based on the item's daily rate, which is determined by dividing the weekly rental price by 7. Each additional day that an item is not returned may be eligible for a late fee.

Late fees are applied at the discretion of the provider. We encourage providers to request a late fee when a delay occurs through no fault of their own.

Exceptions to the Late Fee Policy
A late fee may not apply if the pickup and drop-off days are the same. In this case, renters are given an additional grace day to return the item.

Net 30 Policy
Providers can expect compensation within a maximum of 30 calendar days after claim approval.


For Owners: The Setcircle Owner Guarantee

The Setcircle Owner Guarantee protects you when a renter returns your items late or fails to return them at all. To be covered, you must notify Setcircle of any late or unreturned rental — by email at [email protected] or through a Help Center message — within 72 hours of the end of the rental's final booking day.

The Setcircle Owner Guarantee does not apply to:

Any late or unreturned listing rental that the Owner does not report to Setcircle within 72 hours of the rental's end date.

What To Do If A Renter Returns Your Props Late
Contact Setcircle to begin the claim process — message us through the Help Center in the bottom-left corner of our website, or email [email protected]. Once we receive your claim, we'll review the situation with you and make sure you're properly compensated for the inconvenience.

What To Do If A Renter Never Returns Your Props
If an item is not returned and the renter goes quiet — with no communication or confirmation that it's arriving late — document the situation and contact us right away to initiate a missing rental claim. We'll attempt to reach the renter and will charge their card on file for the full replacement cost. Setcircle will either replace the item or reimburse you for its agreed-upon Replacement Value.
